ÖVERVÅLD

The death stench of old Sweden rises again through the bloodied mouth of ÖVERVÅLD. Formed by seasoned maniacs from the ranks of Setherial, ex-Decomposed, and Crawl, the band unites a lineage of black, death, and grind filth into a singular, focused force of sonic violence.
On their latest studio offering Vigarv, ÖVERVÅLD channels the raw spirit of Scandinavian morbidity with four hymns of bitter, black-hearted death metal. This is not music built on speed or showmanship, but on oppressive weight, crude distortion, and the suffocating tension between melody and madness. D-beat punishment collides with grotesque harmonies, summoning a sound that echoes through crypts once haunted by Decomposed and Nirvana 2002.
Despite its brevity, Vigarv is a punishing and intentional work — the result of true conviction and a deep instinct for songwriting. Every spine-splintering stomp and every diseased riff reaffirms ÖVERVÅLD not as a retro act, but as a continuation of the eternal tradition of Swedish death metal darkness.
With Vigarv, ÖVERVÅLD prove that death metal’s primal force remains as vital, filthy, and dangerous as ever.
