HERMIT DREAMS

HERMIT DREAMS is a new experimental death/doom metal band from Norway, featuring experienced musicians from a wide array of metal bands from the national scene, current and past.

The band brings together a diverse set of influences, and with an untraditional instrumentation featuring prominent banjo, cello and upright bass together with brutal drums and harsh vocals they deliver an unexpected and fresh soundscape.

The project started out as a creative outlet for founding member Eyvind’s songwriting, allowing a somewhat different take on obscure and weird death metal that did not fit comfortably within the (admittedly already rather wide) DISKORD frame, for which most of his songs up till now have been destined. It soon became obvious that it was time for a new project, and a new direction.

After putting together a strong lineup of musical acquaintances, the band is now proud to present their debut album DESPERATE ANOMIES for release through CHAOS RECORDS.
