INCHOATION

INCHOATION is a Norwegian death metal band exploring the vast and uncharted realms of science fiction through their raw and immersive sound. Formed in 2023, the band channels a blend of cavernous death metal and atmospheric experimentation, creating a dense and otherworldly experience. Their music is deeply rooted in the traditions of the genre while pushing forward with a conceptual approach centered on cosmic and existential themes.

Their debut demo, From Nothingness, to the Antecedent Sphere, originally released in 2023, showcases a heavy and dynamic sound, drawing influence from bands like early Blood Incantation, Astral Tomb, Siderean and Obliteration. With members also involved in projects such as Ruun, Uma, and Haalbuaer, Inchoation brings a depth of experience to their compositions, delivering a mix of crushing riffs, intricate progressions, and a distinct atmosphere.

Now set for re-release on CD and cassette via Chaos Records on April 18, 2025, From Nothingness, to the Antecedent Sphere marks the beginning of Inchoation’s journey into the unknown—both musically and conceptually.
